Helping translate for TJ Caldwell’s mission team, two pastors in India told TJ Saling Caldwell their story. It was a 2006 mission trip to India and, for TJ, it was the inspiration of a passionate call to service. Barely able to feed their own families, the pastors’ worked to rescue orphans off the street.
TJ and her family returned home determined to help. She started small, sending money when she could. Her passion for service moved her study group into action, then her church, and hundreds of people became involved in the cause. Today, Apple of His Eye
has become one of our favorite non-profit organizations as it has made a tremendous impact in the lives of others helping widows, victims of Leprosy and AIDS, the poor, and the forgotten. This charity serves the most vulnerable people in developing nations.
Apple of His Eye
supports network partners to meet both physical and spiritual needs, of the especially vulnerable, through a pooled sponsorship program providing food, clothing, shelter, education and training, as well as, other support to children and wives of fathers and husbands passed. We believe supporting them in doing that is the right thing to do.
Since the story of AHE began in India, we thought it made sense to “Dovetail” the Kerkeicoondah Estate, a beautiful coffee farm located in India’s Western Ghats Mountains. Dovetail sends $1 for every 1lb sold of Kerkeicoondah to Apple of His Eye
. Our goal is to raise $5,000.
